Spider-Man: No Way Home is Coming Up on the Heels of Avatar at the Box Office

Marvel’s latest hit Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to pass James Cameron’s 2009 box office hit Avatar. Cameron’s decade-defining film currently sits at $760.5 million domestically-including theatrical re-releases. Spider-Man: No Way Home currently sits at $748.9 million and with theaters still airing the film, that number is predicted to reach staggering heights, surpassing Avatar and maybe even other box office legends such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is sitting at a whopping $936.7 million.

The new Spidey flick has also yet to surpass Marvel’s all-time highest-grossing film Avengers: Endgame sitting at $858.4 million. With the film extending its theater time till the end of February, it’s very possible that this multi-universal film will shatter even more records.

No Way Home still didn’t manage to tackle Endgame’s opening weekend success coming in just under the climatic phase 3 MCU finale at $121.5 million while Endgame grossed $157.4 million in its opening weekend. Still Spidey managed to swing his way past Avatar and Star Wars: The Force Awakens on opening weekend grosses, as for toppling the great empire that is Star Wars in the overall highest-grossing film we’ll just have to patiently observe how this next month plays out.
