Peter Billingsley and Nick Schenk Are Creating A New A Christmas Story Classic

Get ready to shoot your eye out-Warner Bros and Legendary Studios has just announced that HBOMax will air a sequel to 1983’s A Christmas Story with Peter Billingsley set to return as Ralphie all grown up. The movie will follow Ralphie and his newly started family as he returns to his childhood town connecting with faces old and new. The new film will most likely set out to overshadow the less well-received A Christmas Story 2 released in 2012 and sits only at a 40% viewer rating on Google Reviews.

Billingsley is working closely with script-writer Nick Schnek who’s primarily written for acclaimed director Clint Eastwood, working alongside him on Cry Macho, and The Mule. Fans of the original Christmas classic are wondering if the western writer can tackle and harness the holiday spirit but executives and others working on the project are confident in Shneck’s ability to deliver a newly-beloved Christmas tale, capturing the magic of the movie that warmed hearts so many years ago.

February 10th-The Girl Before

This BBC/HBO drama sure won’t get you in the mood for love. The Girl Before stars British romance actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Jane, a young woman who agrees to live in a minimalist speciality house designed by a meticulous architect Edward(David Oyelowo). As Jane’s stay progresses she learns of some disturbing information about the girl who occupied the space before her as well as shocking revelations about the man behind the design.

The series premiered in December of 2021 stretching over the course of four days starting on the 19th and ending on the 22nd. The show’s arrival on HBOMax is sure to expose more global viewers to this thrilling mystery and maybe even reach a surge in popularity that’ll couple the likes of other HBO dramas such as Big Little Lies and The Undoing.
