Sheen & Lorre Together Again?

In 2011, actor Charlie Sheen and showrunner Chuck Lorre had a public falling out during the production of the popular sitcom “Two and a Half Men.” Sheen, who had a leading role in the show, had been making controversial statements about Lorre and the show’s production. After a heated exchange, Sheen was eventually fired from the show, leading to a legal battle between him and the production company. The incident received widespread media attention and brought Sheen’s personal struggles into the public eye.

2023. Sheen and Lorre reunite for the HBO series, How To Be A Bookie. It’s hard to fathom. The break was huge news in 2011 yet somehow both are back together for a new series. Despite their highly publicized falling out in the past, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen are teaming up once again for a new series called How to Be a Bookie, which has just been given an eight-episode order! The show stars Sebastian Maniscalco as Danny, a veteran bookie who’s struggling to keep his head above water in the face of the impending legalization of sports gambling, not to mention a host of other challenges. The cast also includes Omar J. Dorsey, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito, and Jorge Garcia! With Lorre, Bakay, Maniscalco, and Judi Marmel all on board as executive producers.

HBO Max and Discovery+ Become Max

In tomorrow’s announcement on April 12th, 2023, we will finally learn more about the newly merged Discovery+ and HBO Max service, reportedly called MAX. However, the reasons provided for the price hike are being questioned. According to reports, Warner Bros. Discovery is concerned about stretching the HBO name too far and scaring away potential subscribers, hence the change to just MAX. The combined service is set to launch in the Spring or Summer of 2023, but the newly revealed subscription plans have raised eyebrows. The ad-supported plan will cost $9.99 a month, while the ad-free plan will be priced at $15.99 a month, which means current HBO Max subscribers will pay the same price for added Discovery+ content. Additionally, there will be a new $20-a-month option with enhanced features, but details on what it includes remain unclear. Are the reasons for the price hike justified? Tomorrow’s announcement may provide further insights.
