New Lord of The Rings Show Reveals Title, Main Cast, and More Exciting News to Bring Fans Back to Middle Earth

Amazon Prime Video is stepping up their fantasy game with the recent announcement of the new Lord of the Rings show, including the series’s title. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set thousands of years before The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings films in the Second Age of Middle-Earth. The show aims to tell the stories of the Second Age and the numerous rings that came before the singular ring that is focused on throughout the books and films audiences are familiar with today.

Executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay are at the forefront of this new project along with Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, and more joining the ensemble cast. New and old characters are set to make appearances throughout the series catering to both die hard LOTR fans and newer audiences that wish to be swept up in this whimsical world. The show is set to premiere on Prime Video on September 2nd of this year.

The Boys is Back For Season 3 Teasing More Conflict Between Homelander and Starlight

The third season of The Boys will launch with its first three episodes (of eight) on Friday, June 3. Other episodes will be weekly, starting the following Friday, through July 8. The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and series newcomer Jensen Ackles, based on the best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

Amazon describes The Boys as “a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes — who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods — abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought — the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.”
